World Prematurity Day
ICHA Day of Giving
November 17
Every year, millions of babies around the world are born too soon. For these tiny newborns and their families, access to skilled healthcare, essential equipment, and specialized newborn care can make the difference between life and death.
World Prematurity Day, observed each November 17, shines a light on the challenges of premature birth—and the difference that timely, compassionate care can make.
At the Institute for Child Healthcare Africa (ICHA), we work alongside African clinicians to strengthen newborn care, build clinical skills, and help hospitals give their smallest patients a stronger start in life.
This World Prematurity Day, we invite you to join our ICHA Day of Giving. Your support helps equip healthcare teams with the training, tools, and resources they need to care for vulnerable newborns and give more families hope for a brighter tomorrow.
