Learning, collaboration, and hands-on training were at the heart of Day 1 of Tiny Feet Big Steps (TFBS) 2026 in Arusha, Tanzania.

More than 200 physicians and nurses from across Africa and around the world came together to strengthen their skills in caring for the smallest and most vulnerable patients. From respiratory support and neonatal resuscitation to practical bedside skills, the day focused on knowledge that clinicians can take directly back to their own NICUs.

But TFBS is about more than lectures and workshops. It’s about clinicians learning with and from one another, sharing experiences, building confidence, and strengthening neonatal care across Africa.
