Hope is integral to saving tiny babies’ lives and journeying them compassionately from surviving to thriving. Hope is imparted to mothers by the nurses and physicians that their newborn baby, often the only surviving hope, has a chance to thrive. Families are supported and encouraged to participate tenderly in caring for their tiny babies. Hope imparted daily to the family “perches in the soul,” a baby’s right to live, and a child’s right to participate in life. In a setting where “every breath counts, no matter how small,” a dedicated, compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care team saves the life of a tiny baby girl and gifts a miracle to her family.
